A new international advertising campaign is being planned
More than 10 million € has been invested in the Sierra Nevada ski station ahead of the new season which should start at the end of November, if there is enough snow.
Regional Councillor for Tourism, Luciano Alonso, on Monday presided over a meeting of the board of Cetursa, the company which runs the facility, and announced a new international advertising campaign to promote the Sierra Nevada.
There are several new facilities this year, including a new snow park for snowboard and freestyle, and improvements in communication with more tarmac areas and a reorganisation of some of the lifts.
Changes to the access road are hoped will ease the delays which have become a regular feature of the venue.
