Approval for the move to regularise the properties was agreed at a meeting of the local government on Tuesday. The compensation system set out to bring Marbella’s irregular properties into legality brings the town, in this case, 12,000 m2 of land to be allocated as green zones and monetary compensation of more than 700,000 €.

Felix Romero, spokesman for the local government, told the press that the Town Hall has also set the developer a security deposit of 250,000 € as a guarantee that building work which must take place in the area as part of the agreement is, in fact, carried out.
