The aroma of roastin chestnuts heralds the onset of autumn The rickety wooden stalls and the big cooking pots with holes punched in the base are the traditional icons of the approach of the colder months. The streets of Malaga are starting to see the return of chestnut vendors to help warm up the chilly evenings with their hot roasted chestnuts. For one euro you can get six chestnuts, but be careful, always check inside first, in case there's a rotten one!
